Az új AAC‑ELD beszédhangkodek jóvoltából kristálytiszta HD-hangminőségben beszélgethetsz FaceTime-on.

The AirPods 3 aren’t the best-sounding earbuds out there and are pretty pricey for a pair without active noise-cancelling in today’s competitive market. They won’t be for everyone fit-wise either and, of course, they still hugely favour Apple device owners. But generally, third time proves a charm here. The new model is bound to continue the AirPods sales’ upwards trajectory towards Rubik’s Cube popularity, and we can’t say it doesn’t deserve to.
The Apple AirPods (3rd generation) represent a big step up from their predecessors in terms of audio performance, connectivity, and design – and while they come with a price increase, we think they’re a worthy upgrade if you have the older AirPods. However, we wouldn’t necessarily recommend them for Android users. The AirPods 3 are unsurprisingly optimized for use within the wider Apple ecosystem, so Android users miss out on a lot of the extra features that set them apart from other true wireless earbuds on the market, and the lack of noise cancellation means they aren’t the most high-spec earbuds at this price.
The Apple AirPods (3rd generation) improves upon the 2019 model with its more ergonomic, yet unsealed, fit, water-resistant build, MagSafe charging case, and advanced software features. You can enjoy a wholly immersive movie experience with the new AirPods' spatial audio with head tracking, and enjoy HD audio during FaceTime calls. Of course, most of these features are limited to Apple hardware, so Android owners can keep moving.
The AirPods 3 are a solid revamp of one of the most popular sets of true wireless earbuds, adopting a better design, improved sound, longer battery life and more advanced features such as spatial audio. Their open-air fit is unrivalled in the industry and certainly has some advantages. But the complete lack of noise isolation makes them hard to use in loud environments and stops them sounding as good as rivals with silicone earbud tips.

The new AirPods are the first big redesign of Apple’s massively popular true wireless earbuds. From a fit and comfort standpoint, I think Apple succeeded: these are still wonderfully lightweight earbuds, and they actually stay in my ears now. The sound quality has seen some refinement, and the third-gen AirPods are a better gym buddy than their predecessors. Plus you’ve got longer battery life and nice-to-have features like spatial audio head tracking — even if Apple is overselling it a bit. I’ll personally be sticking with the AirPods Pro and other earbuds that offer noise cancellation or at least some isolation.
The Apple AirPods (3rd generation) are very good for sports and fitness. The earbuds and case are very light, small, and feel sturdy enough to withstand a few accidental drops and bumps. They're also rated IPX4 for resistance against being splashed with water. However, while they have adequate stability and should stay in your ears during a light run, they may fall out with more intense movements. Their stability also depends on the shape of your ears since they have a one-size-fits-all design.
While the AirPods 3 are superior to the AirPods Pro in some ways -- as I said, I do think they sound slightly better in non-noisy environments, and they offer a touch better noise-reduction during calls and have better battery life -- the AirPods Pro's noise-isolating design and active noise cancellation have obvious benefits. For instance, you'd want to use AirPods Pro on a plane, not the AirPods 3. Also, the Pro's excellent transparency mode mitigates some of the occlusion issues people have with noise-isolating buds.
The third-generation AirPods are a notable improvement over the previous two models, especially in terms of audio quality. Seamless integration with iOS devices, the inclusion of a MagSafe-compatible charging case, and a water-resistant build earn them the highest rating we’ve ever given to in-ears that don’t seal off the ear canal. However, the lack of true, user-adjustable EQ is disappointing at this price. And Spatial Audio is fun, but more or less a gimmick at this point. We still recommend the AirPods Pro for Apple users who care most about audio quality. Everyone else should consider the less expensive or similarly priced alternatives we highlight above for their superior combination of fit, function, and high-fidelity.
The new AirPods are here, but they are an incremental upgrade, the equivalent of an S series iPhone. The changes enhance an already excellent, truly wireless headphone, and if you were on the fence about buying the AirPods, there's enough here in the way of improvements, particularly always-on Siri and better noise filtering during calls, to get you off that fence. But Apple owners looking for a different fit, improved sound, additional color options or other rumored upgrades will have to wait for a true AirPods sequel -- or maybe the PowerBeats Pro, an upcoming alternative from Apple-owned Beats.
The AirPods 3 are comfortable earbuds with great sound quality, but you really need to be in the market for an open design to make them a good buy. If you're happy with in-ear (which, we'd recommend anyway, due to much better noise isolation), there are too many other good options given the $279 asking price. If the AirPods 3 were a little bit cheaper they could represent a great entry-level pair of AirPods, but given the state of the market, they won't be the right choice for most.
Apple played it smart with the AirPods 3, offering just enough upgrades to make them a significant step up from the AirPods 2, while also keeping a few steps below the AirPods Pro.Essentially, these buds are the AirPods Pro minus the eartips and a handful of features (ANC, Transparency Mode, Ear Tip Fit Test). Several series hallmarks show up on the spec sheet, including Adaptive EQ, spatial audio, and force sensor controls. Apple even added some new tricks to make them more distinctive, including skin detection for auto-pause/play, MagSafe charging, and recently launched iOS 15 features such as Enhanced Find My.
With way better sound, a bigger battery, a more secure fit, wireless charging, and head-tracking spatial audio, the AirPods 3 are a big step-up from the second-gen AirPods and an upgrade that all AirPod owners should consider. If you’re an Apple device user, absolutely. The AirPods 3 are a worthy upgrade from the first AirPods. Android owners won’t be able to take advantage of features like head-tracking spatial audio or hands-free Siri, making them less appealing for thse folks.
With better battery life, a completely new design, new features like Spatial Audio, and an IPX4 rating, the AirPods 3 are better than ever before. Plus, they sound better than the previous models and other than ANC, have pretty much all the same features as the AirPods Pro. These are fantastic AirPods for anyone looking to upgrade or buy their first pair.
Even with a price drop, the AirPods 3 are a little on the expensive side – especially when you factor in the lack of ANC. But they are a significantly better product than they were previously. Audio is warmer, with more bass but crisper vocals, while Spatial Audio shines in certain instances. Add in a smarter design, IPX4 resistance and longer battery, and you have a pair of earbuds that should please most iOS users. here are, of course, better-sounding buds, but the AirPods remain the most simple and effective wireless pair I have used. If you have an iPhone, that is.
If you travel a lot and value being able to listen to music in your own bubble, these aren’t the headphones for you. But you probably knew that already. The lack of ANC and any form of passive noise isolation means the AirPods 3 aren’t the greatest choice for travellers and commuters. However, if you prefer open fit headphones for the comfort or for exercising and you own an iPhone, look no further. These headphones are supremely comfortable, sound fantastic and, for Apple Music subscribers, are elevated to another plane by Spatial Audio. They’re sensationally good earphones and you should go and buy a pair right now.
That the AirPods is available for S$269 is a surprise, considering that the second-gen version with a wireless charging case was sold at S$299 back in 2019. That's not to say that the AirPods is cheap by any means, because you could get some pretty good ANC wireless buds from brands like Sennheiser or Jabra. But I think that's besides the point. There are users out there who are not interested in an earbud with ANC (perhaps you don't like an IEM earbud?), and especially for existing AirPods owners who have been holding out for a new AirPods over the AirPods Pro, the new AirPods is an easy choice.
So, how do the AirPods 3 sound? Well, given the semi in-ear fit design of the earpieces, you’d be wise to assume that the AirPods 3’s low-end output leaves a bit to be desired. Now, credit where credit’s due, the earphones offer a punchy bass output with marginal decay. However, the slam from the beats isn’t as tight or impactful as I’d like it to be. As an example, in James Blake’s Limit to your love, the beat drop at around the 55th-second mark sounds hollow and the beats just don’t offer the same depth or weight as you’d come to experience when listening to the song via the OnePlus Buds Pro.
The third-generation AirPods are the biggest change to the entry-level AirPods since their inception, offering a smaller contoured design that’s still distinct and instantly recognisable while also introducing key new features and improved audio performance. New smart features, including enhanced Find My support, a skin-detect sensor, pressure-sensitive squeeze controls and MagSafe charging support are all welcome additions that Apple owners will appreciate, but it’s spatial audio that’s the real game-changer.
So why would one buy the AirPods 3? Well, the AirPods 3 are light, comfortable, and come with features like Adaptive EQ and Spatial Audio with head tracking. This makes them the perfect ear-buddies for those looking for comfortable earbuds that can be used for prolonged periods without digging into their ear canals like the AirPods Pro do, and simultaneously enjoy Apple’s Spatial Audio feature, better audio output, and longer battery life as compared to the AirPods 2. So they are kind of like the AirPods Pro Lite!
No modest update this time around. Apple totally overhauled AirPods for the third-generation version with the biggest changes coming in the design and audio quality. The company also expanded availability of key features like spatial audio and Adaptive EQ to a more affordable set of earbuds while keeping all of the convenience of AirPods intact. These earbuds still aren’t for everyone, but what they offer the Apple faithful can’t be found elsewhere and the company will do well to keep it that way.
If you already own a pair of AirPods, you probably shouldn’t upgrade to the latest model. The improvements in switching speed and latency aren’t game-changers, and the ability to use Siri hands-free, while useful, isn’t worth the cost alone. Those who make a lot of long phone calls will love how much longer the battery lasts, but everyone else will notice no real difference in longevity. If you haven’t bought AirPods yet, the improvements in this second-generation model make them a little more compelling. Still, we can’t help but anxiously await a true successor to Apple’s near-ubiquitous wireless headphones.
Apple’s AirPods 3 are a worthy upgrade compared to older AirPods. However, unless you want to avoid the silicon tips of the AirPods Pro, you may find that the Pros aren’t that much more expensive and, of course, they also offer noise cancelling. It’s worth pointing out that the AirPods Pro have been relentlessly discounted under the £200 mark over the last year, so they aren’t that much more expensive than the AirPods 3 are hitting the market at. That said, we’d expect the AirPods 3 to also be discounted in the coming weeks and that will bring them into a much more attractive bracket.
The seal you get from the rubberized tips on the Pro improves bass response and helps reduce outside noise, while active noise-cancellation makes listening in all but the quietest environments a lot more pleasant. For those reasons, those looking for the best sound quality should still choose AirPods Pro.I feel the longer battery life and vastly improved sound of the third-generation, along with Spatial Audio support, make them worth the upgrade price. If you have a choice, get these over the second-gen model, even if you pay more.
The AirPods 3 probably exceeded my expectations on every front, even as a fan of the original AirPods. The fit is good, they are light and enjoyable to use, and the sound is impressive for open-fit buds. However, it is still very hard to recommend them at the high price of £169, especially if you are looking for sporty buds because you can pick up superior options for the same price – or even significantly less.
The AirPods 3 are a definite step up from the AirPods 2. The design is definitely a step up from the older AirPods models, giving listeners a more premium look in line with the AirPods Pro. However, it stops just short of aping the top-tier product, falling more into a barely mid-tier range. Thanks to Apple’s chip wizardry, the earbuds manage to deliver clear, warm audio whether you’re listening to music, watching TV or on a video call. And I highly recommend taking the spatial audio feature for a spin.
Now with great sound that doesn’t have to overload your head with volume, the 2021 AirPods are an improvement worth talking about, and genuinely a great choice. Version 3 is the best yet, and not just a small update, but something truly worthy of a new product. By dabbling in an earphone style, Apple has really learned what works and how to make its earbuds even better. Comfier and better overall, the AirPods 3 are an actual update more will enjoy.
The new Apple AirPods 3 don’t make any mistakes. Some may criticise the fact that these headphones, which cost just under 200 euros, come without noise cancelling. But if you have not missed this feature so far (even with your old AirPods) you won’t have any reason to do so now. Otherwise, this third-generation offers new and useful functions, such as the new voice codec for making phone calls, the head tracking function and the increased battery life.
Several competing options at around this price and even lower offer better passive noise isolation (unless you prefer an outer-ear fit) and active noise cancellation, but the AirPods (3rd Gen) is designed to work well within the Apple ecosystem. If you have an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you'll want to consider the AirPods (3rd Gen) over options from competing brands, purely for how well they work together. That said, with the AirPods Pro discounted heavily when on sale, you might be able to buy that at just a slightly higher price than that of the AirPods (3rd Gen).
The big other option for iPhone users is AirPods Pro, as I've talked about at length. The same design, but with in-ear tips; similar sound quality, but with active noise cancellation. They're really great, and at the time of writing, are an excellent price. Here's our full Apple AirPods Pro review. Android users shouldn't really bother with AirPods, even though will work like any Bluetooth headphones. For this kind of price, I'd steer you towards the Sony WF-1000XM3 – they're much larger and heavier, but they have top-tier ANC and superb sound quality.
If you want the truly excellent audio, improved battery life, enjoy the form factor and want MagSafe charging, the AirPods 3 are definitely worth considering. Outside of the sound leakage, I've really enjoyed them. But if you want something that will block out environmental noise, has tip options for different ear sizes and still has decent sound and battery – you might want to consider the now-cheaper AirPods Pro. Personally, I'd like both of these options to be melded together to create a single great product that nails every important aspect of wireless earbuds.
You can charge the AirPods 3 case with either a Lightning cable or wirelessly, via MagSafe or any Qi-certified charger, which is a great bonus. According to Apple, the AirPods 3 earbuds alone can last up to 6 hours of listening time, or 5 hours if spatial audio is on. If stored in their case in between listening sessions, the AirPods 3 can get you up to 30 hours of music playback or 20 hours of talk time on a single charge. Storing the earbuds in the charging case for just 5 minutes can get you around an hour of listening time. So it's safe to say that charging the case just once can get you through a full week of 4-hour music sessions per day.
Ultimately the AirPods 3 excel where it matters, giving a full, detailed sound that is wonderful to listen to. For Apple iPhone and iPad users, there are bags of quality of life features that take the AirPods’ offering to the next level. For those with Android phones, the fact many of those features – like the sensor-driven auto-pause – don’t work out-of-the-box is a real drawback. The lack of ANC is also a shame, especially in this price bracket. Many potential buyers are likely to be lured away by competing headphones at similar – or lower – prices that do have ANC. Numerous entries on our best wireless earbuds list will challenge the AirPods in this regard.
Sitting in the middle of Apple's wireless headphones portfolio, the 3rd Gen AirPods offer a great balance between features and price point, whilst also delivering a refreshed and water-resistant design and great sound quality.
It should come as no surprise that the AirPods 3 have been optimised for use with the iOS devices; as a result, users of Android will be unable to take advantage of many of the additional features. Also, they are not the most feature-rich earbuds at this price since they lack active noise cancellation. All in all, these earbuds are good, but the only reason I can give you to buy them is if you’re a fan of the old ones and just want a slightly improved version.
The Apple AirPods 3 are, no doubt, a big step up in terms of performance, features and build from their predecessors. Priced at Rs 18,500, they offer a wide array of enticing features, especially for Apple users, including Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, hands-free Siri, IPX4 rating, Audio Sharing, and more. The earphones miss out on Active Noise Cancellation, so if that is something you'd like your earphones to have, there are numerous options on the market in the same price range that do offer ANC.
It’s hard to compare Apple buds to non-Apple earbuds, simply because the reasons people buy AirPods are often different. But if you’re looking for a decent pair of wireless earbuds that don’t need to offer Apple-specific features like Automatic Switching and Spatial Audio, consider something like the Jabra Elite Active 75t earbuds. Perhaps the bigger questions relate to Apple’s other headphone models. If you have the second-generation AirPods, I actually think it might be worth upgrading to these, simply because of their better fit and longer battery life.
