A Lenovo Legion 5 Pro meglepetést - kellemest, vagy kellemetlent - nem igazán tartogat, hacsak azt nem, hogy például képes egyszerre 5 kijelzőt is kezelni Type-C portjainak köszönhetően. Lenovo's Legion 5 Pro Gen 7 is a slightly porky but fast and attractive gaming laptop that fits nicely between value-priced and high-end machines. It doesn't reach the heights of the Legion 7, but it's considerably more affordable and great for daytime productivity as well as gaming. With minor improvements, like better audio and a 1080p webcam, the seventh Legion 5 Pro would have been a world-beater (and an Editors' Choice holder).
The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro isn’t going to win any design awards, but what it lacks in the looks department it makes up for in performance. The build I tested did great, save for a pitiful amount of storage. My advice? Shop around for a build with 1TB of storage, or plan on adding some of your own down the road.
The performance conundrum of a slim gaming laptop is something Asus hasn’t fully solved with the Dash F15. But if you’re after a lightweight laptop with the premium screen and components that can handle high-end gaming with good frame rates for the price, the Dash F15 may be for you.
If you're considering a more productivity-based device, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16-inch has a natural advantage courtesy of more cutting-edge technology. Though I feel it's not quite the part-gaming, part-productivity, all-round laptop it needs to be to justify its price tag for us PC gamers alone. It's well-built and performs great, and it offers everything a PC gamer might want in a gaming laptop in 2022, but cheaper last-gen models currently make a lot more sense money-wise.

The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro is a remarkably powerful, versatile laptop. Though it targets gamers, the Legion 5 Pro’s wide range of connectivity, excellent keyboard, 16:10 display, and adequate battery life will appeal to many. It’s a great choice for games, photo or video editing, 3D rendering, and other demanding tasks.
Lenovo has taken some unusual design decisions with the Legion 5 Pro, and we're pleased to report that they've mostly worked out well. The display is superb. The extra height delivers welcome real estate for games and work. The resolution is high enough to provide crisp gameplay which can be handled by the included GPU, it delivers exceptional brightness and good color accuracy.
The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro scores in the test with perhaps the most attractive price-performance ratio among all gaming notebooks I have tested so far. The gaming performance in particular is simply outstanding and, depending on the title, is only a few percentage points behind the current RTX 4090. And the laptop costs just half of the current high-end models.
The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro makes a lot of things seem easy. At its core, it’s a gaming laptop that plays games very well. But it also has a wonderfully expansive 16-inch QHD (technically WQXGA, since it’s 2560 x 1600) resolution display that’s great for gaming and other use cases.
The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro is hands down one of the best gaming laptops we've ever tested, showing that the Legion line can absolutely go toe-to-toe with its better known peers. Where it falls short of the very best, it still outperforms the rest in its class, and taken overall, its reasonable price makes it hard to find a better value.
All told, the Legion 5 Pro is an excellent laptop. It looks nice, it’s built well, and it’s fairly priced, considering the options you have available. You’ll easily pay more for a Razer Blade 15 Advanced and about the same for the Alienware m15 R4. While the latter includes a 4K display, you hit diminishing returns over QHD resolutions on a laptop screen.
I was able to use the Legion for a few weeks as my daily and gaming machine, coming away remarkably satisfied first by the performance of the notebook in everyday tasks, along with my work here at TweakTown that requires me to manage and edit my images and put together all the parts for these reviews. Adding in gaming, the Legion is just a fantastic laptop that can easily handle most AAA titles. The typical factory bloatware is minimal on these machines, which is a godsend when trying to benchmark and compare platforms.
The success of the Lenovo products is easy to explain. They prefer functionality over form and Legion 5 Pro is an accurate example. You won’t find flashy decoration, but, rather, an amazing 16-inch best gaming monitor. In addition, you deal with a great touchpad and keyboard, lots of ports, and exceptional performance. That’s what a successful combination of Nvidia and AMD forces can do. Even with all those performance reserves, the device has decent battery life.
The Legion 5 Pro impressed me a lot, and I can recommend it to anyone who wants to buy a modern gaming laptop, play on a 16-inch QHD+ display and is looking for high performance for an affordable price. This is a powerful gaming machine that is also good for games and everyday tasks.

This machine features great connectivity too. It’s occasionally loud, though, and you’ll want to look elsewhere if you want a lighter laptop or a machine with better battery life.
From ThinkPads to Yogas, Lenovo has earned a reputation for making quality laptops. It's why the company sells more notebooks than any other brand. However, gaming is one segment where Lenovo lags behind some of its rivals. The Legion 5 Pro has convinced me that it could change that. Yes, the design is bland, but Lenovo's other wildly popular products are successful because they address function before form — much like the Legion 5 Pro.
