Ha most picit eltekintünk az AMD-s hatásoktól, akkor a Zephyrus G14 2022-es kiadását önmagában is nagyon szerethető gépként ismertük meg. A kis mérethez egy egészen komfortosan használható billentyűzet és az elődökhöz képest megnövelt méretű érintőpad tartozik, a ROG Nebula kijelző pedig egy remekmű, gyors megjelenítést és extrém pontos színhűséget nyújt. A 76 Wh-s beépített akkumulátor üzemideje nemcsak az egyes profilok, hanem a felhasználás módja szerint is változik, jó hír azonban, hogy mindössze 30 perc kell ahhoz, hogy félig feltölthessük.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is great for gaming. It has a QHD 120Hz display with a fast response time to deliver a clear image in fast-moving scenes, and it supports VRR to reduce screen tearing. Its AMD CPU and GPU provide a smooth gaming experience in 1080p and 1440p, though you'll have to turn the settings down a bit at 1440p to reach 60fps in some games. Unfortunately, it gets hot and loud under load, and the GPU throttles slightly.
The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (2022) is a fantastic gaming laptop; not only does it feature a sleek design and a funky customisable lid, but it’s more than powerful enough to play contemporary games. While there are more powerful gaming laptops out there, few can beat the Zephyrus G14 for its balance between performance and portability.
Bottom point, if you’re after a compact multi-purpose laptop in the sub $2000 price range, the 2022 ROG Zephyrus G14 is definitely an option to consider. I’ve debated whether this merits a 4.5 rating or not, and ended up going with 4.5, as to me everything’s right except for the internal temperatures and the exhausts positioned under the screen. I haven’t factored in the screen brightness bug, as I expect it to be figured out in due time.
Still, this remains a small, slick gaming machine that delivers performance competitive with the best 14-inch gaming laptops on the market. If you don't like the cut of the Zephyrus G14's jib you could get similar performance out of the Alienware x14 or Razer Blade 14 for a similar price, but neither's screen gets nearly as bright. And only the Zephyrus G14 can be had with an AniMe Matrix, a flashy $600 frivolity that I can't help but love.

And that’s not even taking into account the other advantages the G14 has over much of the competition, including its lightweight chassis, category-topping keyboard, and (especially) 16:10 screen. The $1,649.99 price point makes it much easier (and more justifiable) to appreciate the real innovations that Asus has made, and continues to make, in this space.
Hardly any other gaming notebook offers so much power in such a small space. Even the Razer Blade 14 will have a tough time keeping up. Asus has once again created a very potent 14-incher that, apart from raw performance, puts on a very good show overall. Be it the display, input devices, sound or battery runtimes: Quality and results are at a high level.
The 2022 Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is an AMD champion and victim. You're getting a super clean form factor with a gorgeous display and crisp speakers, all atop a set of powerful components. However, squeezing these specs into a 14-inch form factor still isn't doing Asus any thermal favors.
Regardless of what benchmark or game we threw at it, the Zephyrus G14 delivered, often with category-leading performance that topped the Alienware X14. In gaming, it went above and beyond mere playability, showing serious gaming chops that belie the first impressions of the thin design and fancy lid. And with its 10-hour battery life and impressively low weight, it's portable enough to take anywhere. If you want a gaming laptop without the usual limitations, the 2022 Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is the one to get.
The new ROG Zephyrus G14 puts AMD in total control of your gaming experience, and it works wonderfully. High frame rates, at high resolution, and tons of processor power in a sleek package—it's just a shame the 2022 G14 isn't afraid to charge a pretty penny for it.
When you discount performance, the G14 is above average, but not stellar. Once you get past the 14-inch size, decent display and AniMe Matrix LED, the rest is pretty typical. The laptop's real story is in its performance, both good and bad.
ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (GA402) is an attempt to make a gaming laptop compact and light, and the attempt turned out to be really successful. The size and weight of the new Zephyrus almost do not differ from ordinary office machines, while it has a powerful AMD platform that provides high performance both in system benchmarks and in real games.
If I was shopping for a gaming laptop right now, the ROG Zephyrus G14 would be at the very top of my list. Actually, I wouldn't even think about it. It's the laptop I would get. It's not only powerful enough to play on, but it's small and lightweight enough that I would have no hesitation to take it on a work trip. Between its overall design, impressive battery life, and plenty of performance – all for under $1,900 – you can't really go wrong.
We can’t stress enough just how much the original Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 wowed everyone in January of 2020. At the time, it easily destroyed Intel’s hulking 9th-gen gaming notebooks by offering far more performance in a very compact and very light laptop. As arguably the first AMD premium gaming laptop of the day, it also helped cement that an AMD laptop could be as good or even better than its Intel-based rivals.
I wanted to love the new Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, but it has one too many flaws. The display is a big thing for me, and the brightness killed my hopes instantly. I was less concerned about the graphics, but it’s sad to see that it doesn’t live up to some of its competitors. If you are willing to trade battery life, the Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition is a way better alternative for great performance and a bright display.
The G14 partly earns its higher price tag by delivering power in an innovative small package. However, its price is creeping closer to its key 14-inch rival, the Razer Blade 14, which offers a sleeker and higher-quality design alongside a more powerful CPU and the option to cram in an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080. The G14 remains the king of 14-inch gaming powerhouses, for now … but the walls are closing in.
The 2022 ROG Zephyrus G14 has all the bells and whistles for a compact gaming notebook. I absolutely love the design updates which now make the laptop more aligned to the aesthetics of its larger sibling, the Zephyrus G15. It not only looks good, but is well-built too and should last you for a long time. It is also worth appreciating how ASUS has made an effort to improve and fix the shortcomings of the previous generation models like adding a webcam, updating the speakers, enlarging the touchpad and even adding a microSD card reader.
Quite simply, if you want a high performance laptop but balk at the astronomical prices and sizes of the company flaghips from the likes of Razer, MSI and Aorus, this is the model to choose. The ROG Zephyrus G14 is a phenomenal feat of fabrication. See where it ranks on our Best Laptop list, here.
ASUS ROG machines are always fun to review. Gaming on the go has become a lot more common these days and for the Zephyrus G14 (2022) we've got all AMD internals including a Radeon 6800 GPU and Ryzen 9 CPU. The ROG G14 offers a great deal of performance without needing to go all out in terms of budget, though it's certainly not a bargain basement machine.
Last but not least, we have to talk about the performance. See, our unit is equipped with the Radeon RX 6700S. It was supposed to be a big jump over the 80W RTX 3060 from last year, and as it turns out – it is. The MUX switch is definitely a win here, while the frames per second in more than half the games we tested show a significant improvement. Keep in mind that this is not even the most powerful version of the laptop, with there being more headroom with the RX 6800S.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 2022 is the best version up to date. It’s not just an upgrade from the previous version but it overpowers the G14 2021 version by a lot. ASUS’ decision to ditch Nvidia for an AMD Radeon graphics card has paid off here. The device is incredibly mobile, fun to play and work on, and also stylish to boot. Unfortunately, you must also be able to handle a lot of heat when it comes to playing this thing.
The Asus Zephyrus G14 2022 nails those categories nicely, and is a good choice if you're after a smaller gaming laptop. However, there are some issues. Battery life is predictably not great, so it's not going to be the best choice for heavy gaming on the go. The style is also distinctly gamer-centric, and that's very much a taste choice. If you're not so keen on the whole "AniMe Matrix" thing, you could consider a more subtle gaming laptop choice in this size, like one of Razer's Blade laptops.
The ROG Zephyrus G14 has a huge advantage to its name – there aren’t a lot of options in the market that can do what it does, and that is providing a ton of performance in a relatively slim and small footprint. It also allows you to express yourself with its AniMe Matrix display and has a really nice build.
The battery life situation means the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 can’t quite stand side by side with the MacBook Pro. There still isn’t anything that can match Apple’s M1, M1 Pro and M1 Mac laptops for power and stamina combined. However, if you’re a gamer and you want a laptop you can carry around without giving yourself a hernia, the Asus Zephryus G14 is the best option you have right now.
We'd have no trouble recommending this gaming laptop to just about everyone. So if you're looking for a relatively compact yet powerful gaming laptop, the G14 is a very well balanced option that surfs the line between everyday champ and gaming great.
The best all-round 14-inch laptop on the market, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 2022 edition comes with an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor, and options for either the AMD Radeon RX 6700S or RX 6800S graphics cards. This is a stylish, light, and portable gaming laptop with an impressive 10-hour general usage battery life, a good array of ports and sockets, decent speakers (for a gaming laptop), and a superbly colorful screen with top-notch peak brightness.
The Zephyrus G14 is still an incredibly compelling 14-inch notebook, especially if you’re aiming for one of the cheaper models. It’s powerful, slim and it finally has a webcam. But it’s also lost much of what made the 2020 model so special. I suppose that’s progress, though. ASUS kicked off a trend, but now it’s racing to keep up with the competition.
