Ez egy eltalált termék. Arra tervezték, hogy mindennapi társ legyen, a mérete is kezelhető, a tudása pedig bőven elég egy átlagfelhasználónak, aki viszont roppantul örülni fog, hogy milyen jól lehet rajta filmet nézni, milyen jól szól a négy hangszóró játék közben, mennyire kulturáltan össze van rakva és amúgy pedig pofonegyszerű a kezelhetőség. A chipset vidáman elég a feladatok többségére, az üzemidő is megfelel az elvárásoknak, ha pedig valaki fotózgatni szeretne, akkor vegyen fényképezőgépet, nem fogja cserbenhagyni a cucc, ha nyilvánvalóan nem ez a legjobb tulajdonsága.
A Xiaomi Pad 5 után azt éreztem, hogy semmi értelme megvenni az olcsóbb kínai gyártók tabletjeit, míg a prémium termékek, mint a Samsung, a Huawei vagy az Apple termékei pedig árban nem fognak tudni versenyezni vele. Szerintem 105 000 Ft-ért ez a tablet a tudásához képest nagyon olcsó, de azért nem teljesen makulátlan. Először is, a WiFi-s verzióban nincs 5G modem, így nem lehet vele bárhol netezni, illetve a kamerája sem olyan jó, mint a Pro-nak, na nem mintha ez egy döntő faktor lenne. Még néhány szenzor és port maradt ki, nincs NFC, műholdas helymeghatározás és jack port sem, illetve, mivel nincs SIM tálca, így a háttértárat sem lehet bővíteni.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 is a fantastic all-rounder Android tablet with a good-looking screen, lots of processing power and well-optimized software. In fact, it’s the best rival to the entry-level iPad we’ve seen so far, especially at a similar price. Our few problems with the tablet are issues that most slates face, like the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack or the fact that arguably necessary peripherals will cause you to spend more money, but that just shows how well-rounded this slate is.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 is an exceptional Android tablet – but it is still an Android tablet. There’s little to fault on the hardware front, where you’ll find a lightweight design bolstered by strong specs, a gorgeous display, and great speakers. The software side is typical for an Android tablet, which is to say it’s fine, but can’t match an iPad, but this isn’t enough reason to resist the Pad 5.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 is a fast tablet at a very attractive price. With the Snapdragon 860 it delivers more than enough performance for everyday tasks, together with the Adreno 640 GPU, it also runs current games smoothly even in high detail settings. With 6 GB of RAM, there should not be any bottlenecks during multitasking. Only the tablet's 128 GB of storage might be too tight depending on the usage, also because there is no option to expand the storage via microSD card.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 is a stunning Android tablet with an 11-inch display that can be used for everything from work and photo editing to video games and Netflix. You get a decent battery life, plenty of power and it’s all packed into a slim lightweight design. You won't find much better at this price.

The fact of the matter is that the Xiaomi Pad 5 is one of the best mid-range tablet options on the market, with little in the form of direct competition. Combined with the optional accessories, it makes for a rather good facsimile of the iPad experience, for a lot less money, and that’s perhaps the best we can wish for.
It’s not often I finish writing an Android tablet review where I’ve had plenty of nice things to say about it. Tablets running Google’s mobile OS that are actually worth recommending are few and far between, but the Xiaomi Pad 5 has hit its brief and then some. It’s just a shame that the tablet experience on Android still isn’t quite up to scratch. Because otherwise, the Xiaomi Pad 5 nails every aspect – from design to performance to display quality, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is an absolute stunner, and still worth recommending if you’re fully ingrained in the Android ecosystem and don’t want to take a detour down the Apple road.
Since there's no direct competitor, the Pad 5 competes with more expensive devices such as the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (Review) priced at Rs. 44,990, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE (Review) which is priced at Rs. 39,999 onwards for the base Wi-Fi only model. For those peeping over the fence on the iOS side of things will definitely find better app support with the Apple iPad (2021), but it starts from Rs. 30,999 for the base 64GB Wi-Fi only model and can get very expensive really quickly with all the accessories. However, it lacks the high refresh rate display and quad-speaker audio that the Xiaomi Pad 5 offers, giving the Xiaomi tablet a bit of an edge.
Of course, it’s not perfect and has its share of niggles, but the fact is that it’s a powerful slate that gets a lot of things right, and doesn’t cost the Earth. That said, I’m looking at the Xiaomi Pad 5 as a combination of the slate, the keyboard cover and the stylus, and pricing for the two accessories isn’t even available yet. Sure hope Xiaomi prices these aggressively in India so users get a chance to eke out the device’s full potential. Oh, and issue those software updates soon. The long and the short of it however, is that if you’re looking for a capable Android tablet and don’t want to spend a bomb, you can’t do better than the Xiaomi Pad 5.
After what seemed to be a drought of Android-based tablets, 2021 saw a strong rebound of new offerings by different brands, with major OEMs launching Android tablet variants targeted at multiple market segments. Xiaomi took a three-year hiatus after the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4, before launching its successor, the 11-inch Xiaomi Pad 5 earlier this year. Xiaomi touts this as an all-in-one affordable tablet that can be used for productivity and entertainment. And it even has an optional stylus to boost the tablet's usage scenarios.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 is one of the best all-round Android tablets on the market and a good choice for most buyers who actively don’t want an iPad. Costing roughly as much as the iPad 9, the device offers users an excellent screen, reliable performance for casual use and solid build quality. The only downsides are that its Android-based software still doesn’t feel as refined as Apple’s iPad OS and that its battery life could be slightly longer when running certain tasks.
Xiaomi Pad 5 packs in the specs, rocks multimedia, and has a good design, as well as accessories but will that be enough to get Xiaomi not only back into the tablet game, and perhaps even challenge the iPad?
The Xiaomi Pad 5 is a tablet for everyone. Regardless of whether you use it to watch a film, read books, draw and design graphics or use it as a smart workstation. The good equipment and numerous functions make the Xiaomi Pad 5 a successful all-rounder. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite enough to be a real all-rounder. Small things that the Xiaomi Pad 5 misses include the support of GPS, a jack connection, a memory expansion option or a cellular connection. If you can do without it, you can get a recommended tablet with a decent price / performance ratio for 399 euros RRP (* 299 euros at Gobo).
